Experience
Advising and managing portfolios of private equity funds has been Altius’ core business
since inception.
The investment team has over 130 years of private equity experience, which covers multiple markets and different stages of investment over a number of economic cycles. The team also has wide-ranging experience with previous employers including direct buyout investing, mid-market buyout, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and workouts, secondary transactions and some specialty real estate and energy experience.

Altius undertakes substantial proprietary market research which is used to identify
and invest with the best private equity managers.
The extensive proprietary market research conducted by Altius combines ongoing fund manager monitoring with continuous in-depth evaluation of sub-asset classes. This focus on in-house research and Altius' independent status enables us to take an unbiased view on a sub-market or manager.

Proprietary Technology
Altius’ unique in-house technology has been specifically developed to
complement the investment process.
Over the years, Altius has, and continues to develop proprietary due diligence techniques, databases and cash flow modelling tools to facilitate the analysis of information, monitoring of investments and ultimately the provision of superior investment recommendations. Altius’ proprietary FIRMS database generates clients’ customised quarterly and annual reports which include sector, geographic and vintage year analyses.
